It is common problem among website owners that sometimes their website dropped from Google index and they do not find their website entering the target keywords in the search box . The reason is simple, that website doesnt follow ethical SEO Tips for optimizing website for Google. It happened to one of my friends sites in past. Through that experience I learned a lot about Googles algorithm of indexing or ranking a website and giving it higher priority for targeted keywords. This means that your site must have very good uptime. Always use reliable hosting service with good uptime (no less than 99%) and fast response time. Also ad a Robots.txt file in your root url. Your website may be drod by Google SERPs if Googlebot comes to your site and cannot access it.

2.Add only unique and relevant content to your website.

Add only unique content to your website. It must be informative and interesting to your visitors and relevant to your website theme. Write content for real humans and not for search engines. If you add a duplicate content on your site, copied from somewhere else, there will be more chances to be excluded from Googles index.

3.Avoid spam to promote your website.

Avoid spam as this mistake may causes of ban your website from Google index. In this way never use doorways, hidden text, auto-generated page, keyword stuffing, cloaking or any other type of unethical techniques.

4.Building link popularity for your website.

Quality matters a lot and not every inbound link is always good. Take care of websites linking to you. Avoid to participate in link farms or FFA pages. Try to get links from related theme websites only. Avoid spamming forums, guest books, blogs or comments. Outgoing links are also very important. Pay attention on what sites do you link from your website. Avoid link to sites that use spam techniques, because this may harm your site and your site may be banned from Google.

5.Add A Sitemap.

Provide a way for Googlebot to index the whole pages of your website. Create sitemap and link it to all pages of your website as sitemap helps Googlebot to easily access your all web pages. If you are using JavaScript or Flash links - duplicate them with plain text. In this article I would like to go through some common mistakes that I made and will hopefully benefit you in your list building efforts.

1) I immediately started to sell my prospects

When I first started building a list I immediately sent my prospects email offers. However what I soon discovered is that by first having an email course of at least 5 days my prospects were more responsive to my offers later on. This also reduced the unsubscribe rate from my newsletter as I had given value first.

2) Write a killer subject line

I learnt this mistake the very hard way. I was emailing my list and wondered why I was not getting much of a response. I added a html image to my email so that I could track if the image was displayed which meant that the email was opened. By writing blind and interesting subject lines my response rate tripled. If you mention what your email is about then it is unlikely that your subscriber will actually read your email.

3) Include your link a few times to improve the response rate

My first few emails that I wrote I only included the link once right at the bottom. Very few people actually clicked on it. What I found was by having a concise url that is easy to recognize and repeating this link three to five times in my email increased my click through rate significantly. If the subscriber is not actually clicking through to your sales page then it will be very unlikely that you will make any sales.

If they find your article interesting enough, or if you can demonstrate to them that you know a lot about your subject, they will want to find out more and will click on the link you provide to your website. It's always great to compare traffic generation strategies because you can tell which strategy is giving you results and which isn't. Or maybe both strategies may be giving you results but you want to know which is more effective in generating qualified prospects.

Two of the most popular traffic generation methods online today are article marketing and pay-per-click marketing. This article won't talk about what both methods are (there are already tons of articles on that) but will compare the two to see which strategy you should invest your efforts in.

Personally, for me, article marketing blows pay-per-click marketing out of the water. Pay-per-click marketing consists of Google's Adwords and Yahoo's Search Marketing, so that's no small statement I'm making. Well, there's a reason why I say article marketing is more effective.

Let's say that you spend $10 a day on Adwords. That's $300 a month. Now take that $300 and spend it on 100 articles written by a freelancer. Those 100 articles will bring you traffic for a long time, whereas your Adwords traffic was a temporary thing. And prospects generated from articles are way more responsive!

You'll often people willing to spend crazy amounts for cost per click on Adwords, but you won't find that many 'insane' competitors in article marketing. Although the competition has grown massively in recent years, it is still nothing compared to pay-per-click marketing.

And that's why I say article marketing trumps over Adwords, Yahoo Search Marketing, or any other pay-per-click network. If you don't want to write, outsource your articles. You'll see some terrific results from this marketing strategy if you do it right.

This will give you a fairly accurate picture of how many pages you are competing against. Most people will use a keyword phrase if it has less than 50,000 competing web pages.

Finally, you need to write the article and use this keyword phrase in both the title and the body of the article. Don't over do it or you will be penalized for keyword stuffing. Submit the article along with a link back to your website to the article directories, including EzineArticles.com. Within a short period of time, you will start to get traffic to your website. If you did things properly, the sales will follow.

If you're serious about making money online with article marketing or bum marketing, you need to study more on the subject as there's more to it than writing articles. If you don't have all the answers a small bit of research can assist. Often the answers are readily available with a Google search that the readers could do themselves. However, you are adding value and convenience by providing a range of answers in a single document.

Most people don't like to read large documents from the Web, so unlike long essays, articles tend to be around 400 words long. If you break the article into an introduction, a small number of sub-headings and a conclusion you may only have to write about 50 words in each section. The sub-headings may be for authoring purposes only, but if they are relevant they can be left in the final article.

The first draft should be for your eyes only. Don't try to produce a final copy as you write. It tends to be much quicker to get your thoughts down and come back to edit later. The final step in the writing process is to proofread your article making sure that the writing flows and would be interesting to the reader. Ask yourself, 'does the article provide information the potential reader is looking for? It can also be helpful to have someone else proofread the article. This is also the time to remove spelling and grammatical errors.

If you still have problems writing you may want to do a search for 'article writing software'. There are many packages around which can make the process easier. Similarly, there are numerous e-books available on the topic and many of them are available for free.

Once you have written your article you may want to add it to your own website as an item that search engines love - a piece of original content. If you add an 'About the Author' section with a link to your website, you can also submit it to article directories.

As other websites publish your article you receive another thing that search engines look for, one-way back links. Article submission can be a tedious process, but software and websites that can submit to multiple directories in one do exist to make the job much easier.

After writing your first few articles you will find it is not as daunting as it first appears, and it helps to establish YOU as the go-to authority in your field winning you new customers and increased sales as a result!

1) Title Tag - The title tag is the most powerful on-site SEO technique you have, so use it creatively! What you place in the title tag should only be one thing, the exact keyword you used for the web page that you are trying to optimize. Every single web page should have it's own title tag.

2) ALT Tags - ALT tags were meant to be for text browsers because the images didn't show in text browsers and the ATL tags would tell the visitor what it's about. You should put your main keyword(s) in the ALT tags, but don't over do it because you could get dropped in the results or even worse banned for life!

3) Link Popularity - Link popularity is the most powerful SEO tool out of all them. Most search engines don't even consider web sites if there is not at least one or two links pointing to the web site. Having another site(s) link to your web site is important when it comes to getting your site a good ranking. Your keywords should be in the links you get and keep the keywords short. When you receive requests for a link exchange, check the site out before linking with them, check for spam (Repeat keywords, hidden text, etc.).

4) Keyword Density - This is also vital and should be used with research. You should use the keyword(s) once in the title tag, once in the heading tag, once in bold text, and get the density between 5% to 20% (Don't over do it!). Also use your keyword(s) both low and high on the web page, keyword(s) should be in the first sentence and in the last one.

5) Page Size - Your web page's speed is important to your visitors and the search engines. Why? Because the robots will be able to spider your web page faster and easier. Try your best to keep your web page over 5k and under 15k in size.

6) Rich Theme - Search engines are looking at themes more and more. Build content (Articles, FAQ, tips, etc.) much as possible and keep the web pages around 200 to 500 words. Create content that's related to your market and link them out to other related content on your site. Try to get 200 web pages or more.

7) Web Site Design - This is also important, if you want to get indexed! Text content should out weigh the HTML content. The pages should validate and be usable in all of today's leading edge browsers. Stay away from flash and Java Script, search engines dislike them both a lot.

8) Insite Cross Linking - This will help you get all of your web pages indexed by the search engines. Your web pages should be no more than three clicks away from the home page. Link to topic related quality content across your site. This will also help build you a better theme through out your web site. On every page you should link back to your home page and your main service(s).

The way I do it is with article marketing combined with list building. Now, the beautiful thing about article marketing, is that I don't have to go where they hang out. All I have to do is write articles that make sense to them. Upload them to the article directories, and then the article directories because of their own high search engine ranking ability, their high pay rank, the article directories themselves will get my articles where people hang out.

Not necessarily where people hang out but where people look. So for example if somebody's looking for information about natural health, let's say somebody's looking for information about natural health, I'm into natural health. Well, I can go about this 2 different ways, number 1 I can go hang out on all the natural health forums and the natural health blogs, and all of that. I can kind of hope I can pick up some visitors. Or I can write natural health articles, I can submit them to the online article directories.

The online article directories have the page rank to get me ranked high in the search engines, and then what happens is when somebody goes in and they search for a term like natural health or alternative health or natural health for my knee, or whatever they're thinking about, natural health, for example, then my article is going to come up really really high. So I'm not going to necessarily get them where they hang out, but I'm going to get them when they're looking for information.

If you can, try to give a link back (reciprocal link on your page) to free directories, some directories does not need it, but if you provide them, their owners will look for your approval first.

4. Build a sitemap for your website (XML based for Google and text based for Yahoo!) and submit them to Google and Yahoo! Get a Google webmaster account and sign in there to see your website statistics. It will also tell you if you site is indexed or not, and your page rank in Google.

5. Update your website every day by adding more unique content. If you site has some information for a visitor then it is 100% chance for him to come back to your site again.

6. Provide inside linking to your website. For example you can provide a link of your previous and next articles on an article page. Or you can provide a list of related articles so visitor can remains a long time on your website.

7. Keep in touch with your website. If you do, you will get results from your statistics analyzer very soon that you are getting visitors and your page rank is improved.

8. And the most important tip. "Trade your link with other web owners". Put their link on your website and they will put your link in them. This is for free and the very fast way to improve your visibility in search engines.

Some other FREE ways that offer you put your blog link in their directory or group but it seems that Google does not like this type of exchange link and your page rank will not increase either.
